About the project (provided by the applicant):
The school complex is situated in a scenic location on the shores of Lake Bezdonnoye in the town of Bor. The school volumes are connected by a central atrium, which can serve as an assembly hall.
The dormitory buildings are arranged in a non-parallel layout, thus creating private zones for students and preserving valuable clusters of trees on the school premises. The main entrance faces the flow of people coming from the funicular, which connects Bor and Nizhny Novgorod.
At the front, the school buildings are linked by a warm skybridge. The area between it and the road serves an open formal space for the school, while a more intimate environment is created within the internal courtyard.
