About the project (provided by the applicant) The Research Center in Irkutsk is a unique project for Siberia. The complex form of the building preserves existing greenery on the site. Its design is based on fractal geometry — a creative method promoted by scientists, echoing the structure of Baikal ice.
The complex consists of modules in the shape of isosceles triangles, symbolizing the principle of sustainable development. Glass panel cladding creates a sense of lightness and transparency, emphasizing the advanced technological spirit of the architecture expressed through metal and glass.
Interior spaces are designed following “smart home” principles. The project includes interactive exhibitions and spaces for educational activities.
The center aims to become a driver for promoting and developing the scientific potential of the region, creating a new attraction for tourists visiting Lake Baikal.
