Russky Island is a key hub for Russia's integration into the economic, scientific, and technological landscape of the Asia-Pacific region, making it an ideal location for the new sea terminal.
The conceptual design of the sea terminal combines functionality, aesthetics, and integration with the natural landscape.
The central compositional element is a circular light well with seawater, around which the main functional zones are organised.
The building's architecture takes the form of a flowing shell, reminiscent of a baroque pearl. The volume appears weightless through the use of glass, lightweight metal structures, and light-toned finishes.
A distinctive feature of the project is a concert hall topped with a glass dome, creating a unique atmosphere for events.
The connection to the piers is provided by a glass passageway that flows seamlessly from the main building volume.
The pier has a slingshot configuration — with the outer sides serving large liners and the inner sections accommodating small craft.
