About the project
The project provided for removal of Soviet-time elements, distorting the initial image of façades and interiors. Window and door openings were restored in accordance with historic iconography data. Elements of interior architectural artistic finishing, including skylights, lighting fixtures, as well as floor and wall coverings made of various natural stones, stucco moldings, picturesque lamps – all of them were restored in accordance with requirements of the St. Petersburg Committee for Memorial Protection, aiming to follow original artistic solutions as close as possible.
