The project's concept was to create a vibrant and expressive building that fits into the architectural and urban planning context of the Petrograd Side. The complex forms the red line of development along the Karpovka River embankment. The 7–8 storey buildings are executed in the style of Northern Modern. The three-storey building facing Kamennoostrovsky Prospect, in terms of its volumetric-spatial solution and architecture, corresponds to the surrounding low-rise historical development. The complex also includes a reconstruction object — the Pokotilova apartment building.
The northern buildings form Karpovsky Lane, recreating it as a pedestrian route (it was lost after the construction of a hotel in the 1990s). A system of public and private spaces is created, linked by intra-block pedestrian routes through arches and gaps between buildings.
The cour d'honneur, flanked by risalits, completes the perspective of Chkalovsky Prospect and Ordinarная Street, and also forms a public space near the Geslerovsky Bridge.
