Project
North Modern Mansion

Nomination
Best Project of Private Residence

About the project
Inspired by architecture of St. Petersburg and the North Modern mansion, designed by Alexander von Gogen and previously owned by ballerina Matilda Kshesinskaya, Senior Architect of the project Andrey Bespalov created his project of a two-storeyed country mansion.

The layout of the mansion is asymmetric, although its front façade is absolutely symmetrical, featuring the main entrance with a transparent canopy. Other facades feature asymmetrical two-floor high risalits. Shapes of the facades are simple and linear. A sheltered terrace standing atop heavy-duty columns sophisticates the overall composition even further. The facades are decorated with blue majolica inserts, an embossed projecting course, and brick pilasters, slightly protruding at the corners of the building.

Location
St. Petersburg.
