About the project
The Moscow International Medical Cluster in Skolkovo tests new approaches and methods in medicine. Here, medical treatment, education and scientific activities come together. The architects wanted all of it to function in the new-quality space, looking innovatively as regards to architecture. The completed pilot block features the cluster in miniature. It is some kind of a show room for medical technologies, a prototype of the 21stcentury’s hospital. Old hospitals are monumental and rather comfortless facilities, where you instantly feel you’re in trouble. Here, the authors wanted to establish another environment – light, welcoming, focusing on illness prevention and healthy lifestyle.
