About the project
The project involves creation of a transport hub with a bus and tram stop near Udelnaya railway-and-underground station. The complex structure was created with parametric design tools. The roof load is distributed across the multiple arches, which are also used to reduce the cross section of other bearing parts, thus giving the space an elegant and airy feel.
The arches form arcades, which are intended as a reference to traditional peristyle courtyards. The project uses recycled wood treated to ensure fire resistance. The whole space is barrier-free and screened from the city noise by tall grass.
