About the project
The performance is based on a work by modern playwright Mikhail Ugarov based on the novel by Ivan Goncharov ‘Oblomov.’ The conflict between the views of Ilya Oblomov, who keeps the memories of his bygone childhood with no conflicts or struggles, and the philosophy of those around him, living their usual lives, is insoluble.
Oblomov’s existence leads to a tragic end – apathy and death. And the snow covers the main character as is it was a lifeless statue.
