Project
Sonore at Hoshino Resorts Oirase Keiryu Hotel

Nomination
Best Implemented Project of Public Space

About the project
It is an experience-based French restaurant where you can feel the concept of a hotel called mountain stream slow life.
We wanted to produce an create an experience that can only be experienced here, with nature and first-class cuisine.
After passing through the closed entrance area you are in the outside space in the woods facing to the mountain stream. The space on the wooden deck space is named “Apelo”, where you enjoy an aperitif and amuse bouche. After that, if you go through the approach again, the main restaurant will expand You literally experience the restaurant by moving.
The design theme is design what can be created only in the forest of Oirase. Art work and chandeliers using wood from the forest, the pseudo-rock wall with an image of a rock wall formed from the eruption of Mt. Hakkoda in Oirase add an accent to the space. We believe we were able to design a dramatic and extraordinary «experience» through cuisine using various ingredients.
