Best Project of Public Space by a Student
About the project
The library is located on the embankment of the Pryazhka River opposite Alexander Blok Museum. The author had to deal with a challenging task of fitting a modern minimalist building into historic fabric of St. Petersburg. This is how the idea and concept of the project were conceived. The architect selected a suitable site for a public and cultural space, which was close to a large number of educational institutions, as well as residential buildings. The library is intended for pupils, students and all those who will use it for work or to simply enjoy reading in a room filled with natural light.
