Stars

The name "Stars" pays homage to the historic "House of the Starry Sky," where over a century ago, the entrance hall was illuminated through a glass inlay and light well, opening up views to the night sky. Today, that motif receives a contemporary reimagining as the food hall brings together people, cultures, and culinary traditions.

"Stars" is a three-level space housing four distinct concepts: Italy, Asia, Georgia, and Greece. Rather than relying on literal thematic styling, the design employs a unified architectural framework that subtly adapts from one culture to the next.

The unifying symbol throughout is the horse—an icon of cultural exchange and travel. Taking center stage is the main artwork: a massive 4 × 5-meter canvas featuring five horses.

The ground floor seamlessly blends Italy and Asia through wood, stone, metal, and exposed concrete. Flowing textiles replace traditional partitions, a vibrant red tea house serves as a focal architectural accent, and the open kitchen becomes an integral part of the guest experience.

The upper level reimagines the traditional Georgian courtyard. Brick, wood, metal, ceramics, textiles, and lush greenery layer over concrete to bridge different eras. Georgia and Greece gracefully converge through a harmonized palette of color, texture, and materiality.
