About the project (provided by the applicant)
The building that houses START library center is located in the old district of Shuvalovo-Ozerki. It is a wooden two-storey house with an attic floor. Standing at the bank of the Low Suzdal Lake, it was built in the 1890s and owned by Ekaterina Gmyzova. The library was located here in 1947.
In 2023, its facades were repaired along with structural components and engineering utilities.
This library is the only one in St. Petersburg located in an old wooden house dating back to the dacha architecture epoch and featuring Northern Modern style. It can be rightfully listed as a pearl of the Vyborgsky District.
