The building that houses START library center is located in the old district of Shuvalovo-Ozerki. It is a wooden two-storey house with an attic floor. Standing at the bank of the Low Suzdal Lake, it was built in the 1890s and owned by Ekaterina Gmyzova. The library was located here in 1947.
In 2023, its facades were repaired along with structural components and engineering utilities. Old Dutch ovens can be still found within, and the interior design is similar to the ones originally used. At the same time, the building looks quite modern and complies with the current demand of its visitors.
