About the project
Beloretsk is a remarkable town where powerful nature and industrial heritage coexist in a perfect harmony. To make a statement as a tourism center the District of Inspiration initiative was developed, which covered the local park and the embankment.
The stairs featuring a metal band is a climbing site and a sight-seeing platform. It works as a permanent connection between the lower and the upper parts of the park. Made of Corten steel and metal, the stairs represent the diverse color palette of rock formations. However, this is not the only reason why the metal stairs were made the highlight of the project: it is also a symbol of the town’s ties with the metal industry, and also the contradictory relations between people and nature.
