Strait of Union
Strait of Union is a speculative infrastructure proposal envisioning a sovereign inland maritime corridor. Conceived as a national spine, the project explores how infrastructure can strengthen resilience, enable economic diversification, and catalyse new forms of urban growth.The corridor integrates logistics hubs, financial and tourism districts, marinas, civic spaces, and residential communities within a continuous waterfront landscape. Beyond transportation, the waterway is envisioned as ecological infrastructure capable of supporting new microclimates and transforming surrounding desert territories.Through fluid parametric architecture and landscape, Strait of Union reimagines infrastructure as more than movement — as a framework for shaping the UAE’s future urban and ecological landscape.
