The SMC Tower is an iconic, 27-story complex designed to consolidate various municipal departments into a single, efficient entity. Located along major roads & metro line, this tallest administrative building of India, features a podium with public services like a reception, auditorium & media room, with break-out spaces & amenities for relaxation & collaboration. Twin towers offer modern office spaces with panoramic views, all oriented to maximize daylight while minimizing heat exposure. The building employs dry cladding terracotta wall system with rain-screens, pergolas & ample landscape. Passive & active climate –responsive strategies like solar shading, fins with low-E glass, operable windows, daylight sensors, solar PVs, central cooling & rain-water harvesting help in attaining the highest sustainability standards. Using smart technologies, earthquake resistance & accessible design, it aims for net-zero energy use & providing a secure, functional environment for staff & visitors.
