University campus and student town

The project addresses the region’s main challenge—a harsh, sharply continental climate with long, cold winters and drastic temperature fluctuations. The core idea is to create a comfortable environment protected from the elements, turning a climate challenge into an architectural advantage. The central solution for the campus is a system of insulated, above-ground walkways connecting all facilities into a continuous network, allowing movement between buildings without going outside. The dormitories are designed with a stepping-down height from north to south to maximize solar gain.

The campus building, inspired by Suprematism, integrates all functions around a central element—a winter garden that serves as the heart of the complex. The university campus facade features a minimalist design utilizing light metallic panels, with color accents highlighting the entrance zones. In this way, the project creates a cold-protected environment poised to become a new center of attraction.
