This is an apartment for rental in the “Symphony” residential complex. The task set before us was to create a sufficiently strict masculine interior. Here we used the contrast of light and dark-grey colour blocks, which helped to zone the space and locally form an intimate atmosphere. The space turned out moderately brutal and strict, yet not devoid of softness thanks to green accents and the use of wooden elements: chairs, blinds, wood-effect mosaic in the bathroom, and the dining table. A “softening” effect is also given by rounded forms: the streamlined shape of the chairs, the round table, and the rounded headboard of the bed.
In order to make the perception of the space more multi-layered, we used textured textiles (textured and fur pillows, a waffle bedspread). In the niches formed by the architecture of the building (beams and pylons projecting by several centimetres) we used relief gypsum panels of dark-grey colour. In addition to the overhead lighting, concealed lighting was added here, which creates a calming atmosphere.
