About the project (provided by the applicant)
Tang House is a project inspired by Brazilian culture and its natural surroundings. Its simple lines seek to harmoniously express the dunes of Brazil's beaches and the sinuous curves of rivers like the Amazon. This house, designed for a plot with a steep slope, meets all the needs of its owners, offering spacious open areas to enjoy the stunning landscape, as it is nestled within an area of the Atlantic Forest. The concept of blending the interior with the exterior is only interrupted by a large water feature that runs along the entire first floor, acting as a guardrail, and by the pool located in the basement. On this level, you’ll find all the bedrooms, as well as a social and spa area. Both levels are connected by a striking circular staircase, while access to the residence is provided via two bridges — one for pedestrian entry and the other leading to the garage.

R2R Design, based in Montevideo, grounds its professional practice on the meticulous study of three key elements: the site's conditions, the client, and the relentless pursuit of a unique and unrepeatable solution for each project. Core principles such as integration with nature, the functionality of spaces, the use of natural materials, and the exploration of voids are hallmarks that permeate all of our works.
