Tanglang Viewing Platform

About the project
Drawing from the essence of traditional Moon Gates in Chinese gardens, we have developed two viewing platforms that would not only frame the landmarks beyond but also introduce a unique viewing journey where every step along the way opens up to a new scene. Together with timber waffle structure and radial lighting scheme, a carousel-like experience is created so that the visitors can experience a visual symphony between Landscape and Architecture. We aim to introduce a brand new sightseeing and hiking experience where the visitors would not only get to engage the natural landscape and the adjacent cityscape, but also enjoy a perfect synergy between nature and architecture through some playful and fun time. Our design essentially relies on an ecological approach that is socially, environmentally, and financially sustainable.

«Based in New York and Hong Kong, our trans-disciplinary works span the fields of digital media, product, art installation, interior, architectural, landscape, and urban design. Our playful design approach allows us to explore various interactive mechanisms between both analog and digital worlds. We are interested in transforming ordinary objects, scenes, and settings into something fun and intriguing. Our motto is 'nothing is static, everything is responsive.»
