About the project (provided by the applicant)
Improving the global environmental situation is directly linked to the processes of solid municipal waste (SMW) management. In Russia, Presidential Decree No. 8 dated January 14, 2019, mandates the reclamation of SMW landfills and the establishment of a comprehensive clustered system of waste processing and sorting facilities.

Statistics show that Russia is about seven years behind in addressing this issue. The lack of social policy for separate waste collection and public resistance to processing facilities hinder their integration into the infrastructure of St. Petersburg.

The project focuses on developing new functional, spatial, and architectural solutions for waste management facilities, as well as humanizing these facilities in the eyes of the public. The technopark consists of three functional zones: a multifunctional exhibition block, a research block, and a waste processing block. The total area of the complex is 23,000 m².

Applicant

Graduated in 2025 with a Master’s degree in Architecture from SPbGASU. Over five years of research experience in industrial architecture related to waste processing and disposal, author of numerous scientific articles, actively working in the field. Currently employed at the Research and Planning Center of St. Petersburg General Plan (NIPTs Genplan).
