The industrial park project with waste recycling capabilities is being developed as part of the concept for the redevelopment of former industrial zones in the city of Kolpino. The significance and selection of this site as an innovation cluster are driven by the city's robust manufacturing base, which includes major power engineering and metallurgical enterprises.
The main objective of the project is to provide industrial and domestic waste recycling directly at the point of origin. This solution makes it possible to close the production loops of existing plants, significantly reduce traffic loads on the road network, and lower logistical costs within the regional waste management system.
The core architectural decisions are built on the principle of overcoming the social isolation of industrial zones and reimagining the factory as a valuable public resource.
