About the project (provided by the applicant)
In the most remote places in the world, two different kind of people meet at the edge of a hill across the dragon blood tree forest. Both individuals have an affinity for nature, albeit expressed through different means: one finds joy in experiencing it, while the other is committed to its preservation. keeping a balance with the constant presence of nature. The tourism agencies in Socotra currently underutilize existing facilities, failing to adequately introduce them to tourists. This oversight has significant repercussions: the local community misses out on potential benefits from the tourism sector, resulting in reduced involvement in conservation initiatives and limited progress in environmental management efforts across the region. the implementation of ecolodges in Socotra, along with the establishment of a conservation training center, represents a strategic intervention aimed at fostering a more balanced approach to tourism management while enhancing nature and ecotourism.
