About the project
The Float is a tensegrity-structure sculpture consisting of two discontinuous curved pipes balanced by several prestressed cables. The upper pipe does not touch the lower or the ground, so it appear to be floating in air. The sculpture is tilted as a whole, and only one point be supported on the ground.It looks like it is about to overturn and disintegrate, but it is actually stable. At the same time, the two curves chase and intertwine with each other.
