Project:
The Lost Desert Hotel
Category:
Best Project of Building or Facility by Student
About the project (provided by the applicant):
A project of a stand-alone residence that has everything required for comfortable living.
A lagoon is created at the seaside with a reclaimed island where private villas will be located. Inspired with an image of a desert city that was moved to the tropics, the author chose her finishing materials and architectural shapes. For example, in some deserts you can find unique geological formations like stone arches or limestone caves, and these were made integral elements of this hotel. Swimming pools and waterfalls in the territory of the hotel are a metaphor of Fata Morganas in the desert.
