About the project
This 1,000 square meters premium class fitness center in Skolkovo includes an extensive training room, a yoga classroom, a psychologist’s office, a massage parlor, a locker room with saunas and showers, as well as private coach premises and utility spaces.
The blind deal-board facade is used to hide the service and utility premises from view, but the rest of the facades are glass. This creates the feeling of doing sports outside in good weather. Verges of the roof protect the interiors from the blinding sunlight but can also be used for warming-up. The exterior of the building looks light and simple, yet it comprises different kinds of beams — laminated wood, metal, and wooden, as well as concrete frame pieces. All the furniture was made in the workshops owned by A-STRUCTURA.
