About the project (provided by the applicant)
The authors of this proposals worked with the existing memorials, namely the Flower of Life, Katyusha, Rumbolovskaya Mountain, Baltic Wings, Polutorka Memorial, as well as the memorial site with three stelas and the Broken Ring, but they also designed greenfield facilities. These are the tourist center and the memorial to victims of the Ladoga Lake. One more greenfield object is the stela at the entrance to the memorial site. The project offers a unique design code associated with the Road of Life, based on the Corten steel, same type of pavement and lamps, and similar gramineous plants.
