About the project
The proposed site is located in Mirzapur, India having an area of 2045 sqm.
The client's brief was to build a house that is rooted in its traditional values yet providing a modern appearance to its form.
Being in a joint family of 3 generations his requirements were to get personal leisure and working spaces for his family members.
The idea behind the design was to create separate spaces communicating with each other. So, the Architect adopted the concept of DIVIDED BY SPACES, UNITED BY FORM providing the building with 3 different units creating a central void in the plan which emphasizes the traditional value of the central courtyard according to Hindu mythology.
Also, the 3 units are bound by rooftop gardens, louvered semi-covered spaces, recessed walls that give a single form to the structure.
A pool with a grotto and waterfall is created to break the silence and to add a play in the building which is cherished by younger ones.
Amenities like the media room and gym are also provided
