About the project (provided by the applicant):
The Kholops (Eng. bondslaves) to the play by Gnedich, who worked in the late 19th through the early 20th century, is set in 1801 and tells about a few days from the life of the family of Plavutin-Plavuntsov in times of Emperor Paul the First. The interiors of an old manor created at the stage become a fully-fledged participant of the events presented and work as a portal from the past to the present and vice versa.
