About the project
The apartment is located in one of the Moscow-based high-rise houses built in the late 1940-50s. Total area of the building is 145 m². The author really wanted to preserve its Genius Loci and to make the atmosphere feel as if in the middle of the previous century.
All the surviving elements like the stucco and the windows were restored, and the lamps are the original models from the 1950s. Some of the furniture pieces were restored, and the layouts for the kitchen and the bathrooms were specially designed. Many of the pieces were found in flea markets – both in Russia and Europe.
At the same time, this is an apartment for a contemporary person with everything one might need or think of.
