Best Architectural Design for Museum
About the project (provided by the applicant)
Timeless Threads Gallery is a visionary cultural landmark in Nyeshie, Tamale, Ghana, redefining the intersection of art, architecture, and community. Designed as a platform for artistic expression, it features two distinct spaces: a bold A-frame gallery for dynamic exhibitions and an underground gallery offering an intimate, immersive experience. Rooted in sustainability, the design utilizes local materials, passive cooling, and climate-responsive strategies. More than an exhibition space, it fosters creative dialogue through a communal amphitheater and outdoor installations, engaging artists, visitors, and scholars alike. By integrating tradition with innovation, the gallery sets a precedent for rural African development, celebrating artistic heritage while inspiring future generations.
