Ong Ho Island (Tiger Island), in My Hoa Hung Commune, An Giang Province, is a distinctive cultural and ecological landscape of the Mekong Delta, shaped by rivers, agriculture, and historical heritage. As the homeland of President Ton Duc Thang, the island holds important national and local cultural values. However, tourism remains fragmented, agricultural production is mainly small-scale, and cultural, ecological, and productive landscapes are not yet integrated. These challenges call for a development approach that balances heritage conservation, local livelihoods, and environmental sustainability. The project proposes an integrated model combining heritage preservation, ecological regeneration, community-based tourism, and smart agriculture. Inspired by the Five Elements — Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, and Earth — the project creates a spatial framework connecting history, nature, agriculture, and technology into one living ecosystem.
