The 4,000 sq.m bank building in Vyborg, built in the Constructivist style, was in a dilapidated state when a private investor began its restoration.

The masterfully designed structure required no global external changes, so the decision was made to restore it as delicately as possible, only changing the facade color to snow-white and accenting it with graphite metal and dark granite quarried in the Vyborg area. The shades were chosen with a nod to the nearby Alvar Aalto Library; in this way, it was possible to simultaneously breathe new life into the building and create a unified composition.

Inside, the building underwent a major transformation: new volumes were introduced, and natural materials characteristic of the region were used, including massive granite staircases, wooden panels, and marble floors.
