When designing the "Trud" space, our task was to transform the premises in a cooperative building constructed in 1934 into a lively and tactile space for the city's residents. The protected status of the building dictated our layout. We abandoned a full‑fledged kitchen in favor of a café and two showroom halls. The interior is conceived as an aesthetic jewel box; it does not dominate but serves as a delicate backdrop for promoting independent Russian craftsmanship. The space turned out to be flexible and meditative, blurring the boundaries between a commercial venue and an art platform. The interior composition is built on a play of diverse surfaces (metal, wood, stone, ceramics, glass, and recycled plastic), a natural color palette, and custom‑made pieces based on our sketches. The starting point was the green foliage outside the windows, which was continued indoors in the pattern of the "Palet" tiles and in a dandelion painting created especially for this space. The integrated furniture emphasizes the value of handcraft.
