About the project
A play by Alexander Ostrovsky is presented as a fairy-tale, a mythological story, referring to Russian epics and legends. The set design by Kirill Danilov is devoid of everyday details. Like a fairy-tale artefact, it comes to life, turning to the viewer first one side, then the other. Red apples light up and fade away, enhancing the dramatic and magical effect. Thanks to the artist, the space of chronicles becomes mystical, timeless, fabulous.
