Project Reconstruction of the eastern grandstand of Tula cycling track
Category Best Implemented Reconstruction Project
About the project
Tula cycling track was built in 1896. During the Soviet era, it hosted both national and international competitions. The reconstruction of the oldest cycling track in the Russian Federation was part of the federal project “Sport is the norm of life”. Now, it meets all the international standards. There are interior bike rooms, bike repair stations, gyms for beginners and professional athletes, and a hotel that can accommodate 60 athletes. The stands have seating capacity for 500 people, including those with limited mobility. A protective roof along the track makes it possible to train in various weather conditions.
