Tumulus Creative Hub

Tumulus Creative Hub is a concept for a public and cultural centre in Astana inspired by the image of an ancient burial mound (tumulus). Historically, burial mounds were part of the steppe landscape, simultaneously forming cultural memory and protecting the space from the wind. The project reinterprets this archetype as contemporary architecture in which the building becomes an extension of the terrain rather than a separate object.
