UGMK Arena. A New Dominant Feature of the Embankment

Category: Best Implemented Architectural Lighting Project in Russia

UGMK Arena is a key landmark in Yekaterinburg along the Iset River embankment, seating up to 15,000 spectators. Our task was to create a new luminous landmark for the city and restore the site's prominence within the urban environment. The lighting design concept features a dynamic light ring along the perimeter of the arena, inspired by the building's architecture. Supplementary lighting enhances the overall image and creates a comfortable luminous environment. The lighting project is a comprehensive multi-tier system that integrates various illumination setups for the facility.

The backlighting emphasizes the architecture, enables the broadcast of themed content, and creates spectacular shows through synchronization with multimedia systems. To ensure safety, testing and brightness measurements were conducted, anti-glare accessories were applied, and dimming capabilities were implemented. The lighting of the facility has transformed the space, establishing an atmosphere for evening strolls and top-tier events.
