Polyclinic in the Reclaimed Area of Vasilievsky Island

The polyclinic is located on the first line of the Gulf of Finland, in the reclaimed area of Vasilievsky Island. The image of the reclaimed district combines the maritime landscape, contemporary development and the traditions of Leningrad modernism.

The composition is based on two offset volumes that form the main entrance and give the building a distinctive character. The facade interprets the theme of the sea through a composition of white and blue panels reminiscent of sea foam and the depths of the water. A golden vertical element between the two volumes highlights the main entrance and echoes the sunlit path across the bay.

The building accommodates adult and children’s polyclinics, a women’s health clinic, emergency care, diagnostic and dental departments. The functional blocks are connected by shared infrastructure, ensuring an efficient layout. The project combines complex medical functions with a cohesive architectural identity inspired by the light and expansiveness of the Gulf of Finland.
