What if a structure appeared at the landing site of Yuri Gagarin that could immerse us in outer space? This is an educational and recreational complex, with a concept based on the idea of a space station for human flight preparation.
The building is designed in the form of a metallic orbit, with one part embedded into the ground and the other elevated. This approach creates an inner courtyard and integrates the structure into the landscape. Visitors move through a sequence of changing spaces, each evoking a new state. The entire route functions as a museum and a journey through the stages of space exploration.
The climax of the route is the “Landing” space. From the highest point, visitors can see the landscape and the Volga River, realizing the beauty of Earth in its natural form. The route concludes with a multimedia hall — the “Space of the Future.”
