Project
Accident prevention works in the Birth of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church in Berezhnaya Dubrova Village
Category
Best Implemented Restoration Project
About the project
As of 2019, the church structures started to collapse, and the roof was leaking, so immediate action was required to save the church.
From 2020 through 2021, they removed the old scaffolding that had been standing there from 1991 and reinforced the collapsing part of the church in the West and the North; installed the conservation roofing along the perimeter; added the ventilated roof on both sides of the altar barrel; eliminated leakages in all the nine church domes; replaced the cross on the central dome. And this list is not complete, of course.
