Villa NUKÁ (Colombia)

Project
Villa NUKÁ

Category
Best Project of Private Residence

About the project (provided by the applicant)
The architectural design of this villa finds its inspiration in the rocky rivers of the Nukak National Nature Reserve, which represent one of the main ecological transition strips between the Amazon rainforest and the Orinoco savannah. The main structure has been materialized in stone, while the roof and walls are built in concrete with fiberglass reinforcement. This selection of materials guarantees not only a high structural resistance, but also a natural, rustic aesthetic, contextualized with the environment. The windows, made of semi-transparent glass, establish a permanent visual connection with the surrounding landscape, favoring the integration between the interior space and the natural environment. The interior spatial organization comprises living room, dining room, kitchen, service area and a master bedroom with privileged panoramic views. All spaces are articulated through fragmented transition zones, which lead sequentially to a linear pool with visual opening outward.
