About the project
The project of this house follows the monumental composition concept. It was inspired by works by Andrea Palladio and Adolf Loos, in particular, Villa La Rotonda, Villa Karma, Scheu House, Muller House. Loos treated the walls as if they were alive. Something like that was also typical for Uno Ullberg, who worked in the «White Era» of Functionalist architecture. Palladio-like cross-shaped layout is a feature making the place more sculpturesque.
The framing is cast reinforced concrete, with further insulation and plastering of the walls. The roof is covered with galvanized steel.
