About the project
This proposal includes stage and costume design for a comedy by Alexander Ostrovsky. The production team head to renew the classics in compliance with the traditional guidelines. Two main planes where the characters exist are Glumov’s diary and the real world represented by the multilevel pavilion of the theater. The inspirations for the art director were the age of Modern, visuals from the early 20th century, symbolism, and Gogol-like motives.
