About the project (provided by the applicant)
The concept is based on the bureau’s research of rural vernacular architecture that shapes the appearance of Russian villages. Installation with almost zero waste became part of an ethical approach to the site.
Today, the object is part of the modern tourist infrastructure of the old village of Menchakovo: it hosts works by contemporary architects and artists, and tourists can stay in guest houses.
