About the project
The Next Generation Park in Yakutsk is innovative in every relation. Key zones of the park are designed around the square, laid out as an ancient Yakut calendar, symbolizing the White Sun – the main Divine of the people of Sakha. Every open issue-related site will be provided with a hill-like building, trees, lawns and an on-roof amphitheatre, comprising warm public and commercial premises. The data center, the youth center, the greenhouse and the art park will make this place financially sustainable and suitable for every season.
There will also be a pedestrian zone with a boulevard and an independent lane for active leisure and sports. Thus, the park will become an incubator of new public spaces – youth centers, co-workings, cafes, winter gardens, bicycle lanes, sports and children’s grounds – not only for the nearest district, but for the city in general.
The project has won the second price at the All-Russian contest, the jury of which was headed by Aisen Nikolayev, President of the Republic of Sakha.
