Project:
Yalav Development
Category:
Best Implemented Project of Residential or Mixed-Use Estate
About the project (provided by the applicant):
Yalav (which in English sounds like ‘I love’) is a residential development in Cheboksary that features unconventional location of the houses and picturesque grounds.
The territory of the development is open and transparent. Houses stand angle-wise against each other so that residents can’t see each other from the windows when they are at home. Parking sites and commercial premises are located along the front facade, and the residential blocks are arranged to form no-vehicle and no-fence private yards. Natural colors and traditional shapes in combination with brick cladding contribute to the plastic properties of the facades. Walkways make unexpected turns and create cozy areas where people will love to stay for some time. The development comprises 33 residential blocks of 9 to 12 levels high, with up to 80 apartments in one block.
