Museum and Scientific-Educational Complex

The museum building — a wall stretching behind the memorial complex — serves as a backdrop, subordinating itself to the dominance of the monument. The complex continues the spatial structure of the memorial, which is symmetrical and linear, accentuating it through the volume of the museum, the directed rhythm of candles, and the avenues. The clear rhythm of the master plan, when perceived frontally, gives way to emotional intensity. The associative range is reinforced by landscape techniques: the path encircling the memorial bears "scars" — emotionally charged imagery referencing the historical context. The sculptural group of the monument continues in the frieze bas-relief, which recounts the grueling labor of civilians during the war years.

The museum building is divided into two parts connected by a gallery: the exhibition section and the public-educational section. The planning organization of the first part features a circular layout. The second part of the complex includes educational facilities, a temporary exhibition hall, as well as administrative, utility, and technical rooms.
