About the project (provided by the applicant)
The project of the Central Library named after M.M. Zoshchenko was created based on the trends in the development of modern urban spaces, information technologies and taking into account new requests and interests of users. The transformations will allow to carry out library activities at a new level using RFID technologies, to act as a modern cultural and educational platform, exhibition space, a platform for communication between people of different generations and interests. The library will have: a spacious multifunctional multimedia hall, coworkings for individual and group work, a local history area with a permanent exhibition of historical models «Miniature Sestroretsk», an interactive exposition «Life and Work of Mikhail Zoshchenko». Inspired by the location of the library in the Kurortny District of St. Petersburg, a building surrounded by greenery, we developed the concept of a roof terrace. This is a unique feature of this project, a place for comfortable reading, creating an atmosphere of reflection and creative ideas.
